Day -2 Pink

We met Michael for lunch today at Jacksus Taste as we passed through Salt Lake City. The tacos al pastor were excellent.

Michael takes his lead climbing test this evening. Good luck! Lead climbing made its Olympic debut this year. That is him scaling the rock in the above photo.

Michael Not Hugging Rocks

People in Salt Lake City like their cookies. Michael recommended Crumbl Cookies. To continue our carb loading we purchased a couple. They were packaged in a embarrassingly bright pink box. Fortunately the cookies were warm and tasty.

As we passed through Wyoming, Utah and Idaho it was cold (45Β°) and raining. Finally in mid-afternoon we arrived in Oregon and the sun finally appeared. The terrain is beautiful and will be challenging.

Our hotel this evening (we stay in cheap hotels because it makes bike traveling more palatable for our spouses) featured a bright pink bathtub from the 60’s. Thoroughly emasculated.
